What a great season it has been at The Bridge Church. Looking over the past few weeks I can’t help but praise God! Here are some of the big things that took place.

  • We had 50 people spend a week in Mexico working with Door of Faith.  Our crew built a couple houses, connected with the families from past home builds, and worked at the orphanage. This continues to be one of the most transforming opportunities offered at The Bridge. Currently, the team is working on plans for next summer’s trip (or trips). You can sign up or learn more HERE.
  • This past Saturday we held our annual Serve Day. We had 365 participants serving in 3 different cities on 35 different projects. Cutting trees, siding a house, painting a house, oil changes, and supporting a number of local organizations that are making a difference. Seeing the sea of red shirts loving the city and individuals in practical ways is bringing change. And eating some great BBQ and hanging out with The Bridge family for lunch is always the best. We also announced the return of 2nd Saturdays, which will be an ongoing local outreach opportunity the 2nd Saturday of each month starting this September.
  • Motion Conference! This was the first time The Bridge Church sent students to Alabama for Motion Conference, and my only regret is that we haven’t been doing this sooner. Our 24 students and 6 leaders just rolled back into town Sunday night. It was a level 10 experience with amazing teaching and worship. These students are already leading the way. I’m also pumped that a couple of our students are really interested in Highlands College.
  • “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” series came to a close on Sunday, but this six week series on the book of Philippians has led to life change. A number of people made decisions to surrender their life to Jesus and embrace grace. These past two weeks were messages that have been in my heart for nearly a decade. If you have been searching for peace or feel like the fire of your faith has faded you need to check out this series.
